Navigate to:
MyHiBid > Account Dropdown > Company Settings


What Are Canned Chat Messages?

Canned messages are pre-set chat responses that webcast clerks can send to bidders with a single click. They streamline communication and reduce typing during live auctions.


Setup Instructions

You can create up to 4 custom canned messages. Each will appear as a clickable button on the bottom-left corner of the webcast clerk screen.

Common Examples:

  • “Bid One More Time!”

  • “Reserve Has Been Met”

  • “Lot Closing Soon”

  • “Final Call!”

To configure:

  1. Open Company Settings in MyHiBid.

  2. Scroll to the Webcast Canned Chat Messages section.

  3. Enter your message text into each field (up to 4).

  4. Save your changes.


Tips for Best Use

  • Keep messages short and action-oriented.

  • Use phrases that create urgency or clarify the auction status.

  • Avoid using all caps unless emphasizing something specific.
