Overview
The Inventory Import tool allows you to quickly bring in multiple items from an Excel spreadsheet into your inventory system, either for future allocation or direct placement into an auction. You can also associate items with consignors and images during the import process.
Step-by-Step: Importing Inventory from a Spreadsheet
1. Prepare Your Spreadsheet
Create and save your Excel file.
Include the following required columns:
Optional columns may include:
Lead (title), Description, Quantity, Reserve, Estimates, etc.
Image filenames should match the lot/inventory number.

and retry the import.
2. Launch the Import Tool
3. Select Your Spreadsheet
4. Map Your Fields
π§ Reminder: Spreadsheets are read left to right; Auction Flex maps fields top to bottom.
5. Verify Import Settings
Confirm that all fields are matched correctly.
If your spreadsheet includes headers, check "Skip First Row When Importing".

6. Choose Target Auction or Inventory
If your spreadsheet includes Lot Numbers, choose the auction to import to.
If no Lot Numbers are present, items will be added to inventory for future use.
7. Import Images (Optional)
Ensure image files are in the same folder as your spreadsheet.
Images must be named to match Lot or Inventory Numbers
8. Finalize Import
Troubleshooting Tips
If formatting errors occur with
.xls
files, save as .csv and retry.Confirm that consignor codes exist in Auction Flex before importing.
Verify that images are correctly named and in the proper folder.
