Step-by-Step: Upload Your Auction to the Internet

1. Open the Upload Center

  • Go to Auction Lots & Preview

  • Click the Upload button (904_frm_Upload_Button) near the bottom left

2. Configure the General Tab

Here you can:

  • Edit auction name, date, and visibility on HiBid

  • Enter Terms & Conditions

  • Set Buyer’s Premium and explanation

  • Specify payment and pickup/shipping instructions

  • Enter auction location

3. Set Registration Rules (Registration Tab)

Configure bidder registration behavior:

  • Select Internet Bidder Registration Type

  • Set Required Last Credit Card Authorization in Days

  • Choose accepted cards (Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, Discover)

  • Set an automatic bidding limit upon successful registration

💡 Use credit card-based registration to verify bidder intent and reduce last-minute delays.

4. Configure Bidding (Bidding Tab)

Customize how online bidding works:

  • Select bidding type: Absentee, Internet-only, or Webcast

  • Choose bid method: Maximum or Flat

  • Set bidding window (open/close date & time)

  • Enable Immediate Bid Status, Reserve Status, and Buyer's Premium Preview

  • Adjust Bid Increments if needed

🛠️ Each auction can have individual bid increments applied at upload.

5. Set Lot Staggering (Lot Stagger Tab)

  • Stagger by Auction or Stagger by Lot

  • Example: A 10-second stagger means each subsequent lot closes 10 seconds after the previous

6. Configure Soft Close

  • Prevent “sniping” with Soft Close: any last-minute bids extend that lot's closing time

  • Use Linked Soft Close Groups to extend all linked lots together (e.g., all tractors)

7. AuctionZip Integration

  • Upload auction details to AuctionZip.com using your login

  • Requirements:

    • Future-dated auction

    • Filled-in description field

  • If you don’t have an account, create one before using this feature

8. Explore Miscellaneous Options

  • The Miscellaneous tab lists settings with descriptions at the top of the window

  • These include additional display or behavior options unique to your auction setup

9. Post-Auction Price Upload

  • After the auction:

    • Make sure all items are invoiced in Auction Flex

    • Re-open the Upload Center

    • Select options to show realized prices

    • Click to Re-Upload the auction

✅ Prices realized can be published to help attract future bidders and show market activity.

Final Tip

Make sure your images, lot data, and all required fields are finalized before uploading to avoid resync delays or errors.
