The RF Modem server and clerking grid will only allow Com Ports 1-12
If you ever come across a Com number higher than 12, you will need to delete ghosted com ports
To do so
Open Device Manager:
If you are in the Rf Modem Server or Clerking grid software, click the device manager button
Or an alternate method would be to Click the Start button in windows, type
devmgmt.msc, and press Enter.
2. Show Hidden Devices:
Click on the "View" menu and select "Show hidden devices".
3. Locate the Ghost Devices:
Expand the Port Com and LPT menu
Ghosted devices will appear with a greyed-out icon.
4. Uninstall the Devices:
Right-click on each greyed-out device and select "Uninstall device".
5. Restart Your Computer:
After uninstalling, restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
