Overview
The Advanced Renumber tool in the Auction Lots section allows you to efficiently reorganize your lot numbering using one of three renumbering strategies. This is useful after inserting sub-lots or restructuring your auction.
How to Access Advanced Renumber
Navigate to Auction Lots.
Click the Advanced button.
Select Advanced Lot# Renumber.
Renumbering Options
You will be prompted to choose from three renumbering methods:
A. Auto Lot Number Options
Applies the auto-numbering rules configured in:
Settings & Options > Auction > Settings
🔧 Great for applying a consistent structure you’ve pre-defined.
B. Start at 1, Increment by 1
Renumbers all lots sequentially, starting from Lot #1 and increasing by 1 per lot.
🔁 Ideal for quickly resetting your lot numbers into a clean, consecutive list.
C. Flatten Sub-numbers
Converts sub-lots (e.g.,
1a,1b,2) into sequential whole numbers (e.g.,1,2,3, etc.).You choose the starting lot number, and Auction Flex renumbers everything accordingly.

When to Use Advanced Renumber
After using sub-numbers to temporarily insert lots.
When switching from a draft lot structure to a finalized sale order.
When applying a custom lot numbering scheme using Auto Numbering Rules.
