🔧 Step-by-Step: Setting Up Your SMTP Server
Go to Miscellaneous ➜ Maintain Settings and Options.
Click the EMAIL tab at the top of the Settings & Option Maintenance screen.
💌 Step 1: Choose SMTP Mail Server for Bulk Email
In the Send Bulk E-Mail Using: section:
Select SMTP Mail Server (Highly Recommended).
📤 Step 2: Choose SMTP Server for Invoices & Settlements
In the Send Invoices, Settlements, etc. Using: section:
Select SMTP Email Server (Recommended).
Optionally, check Bypass email display when sending "batches" for faster processing.
🛠 Step 3: Enter SMTP Server Details
In the SMTP Server Settings section, enter the following based on your email provider:

Step 1: Set up Gmail App Password
To set up Gmail App Password in Auction Flex:
Enable 2-Step Verification in your Google Account via Manage Google Account > Security.
Open App Passwords, name it "Auction Flex", and generate a password.
Record the 16-digit App Password for later use, as this is not your normal Gmail password.

🔐 Note: Both Gmail and Yahoo require app-specific passwords to use with third-party applications like Auction Flex. Ensure you set up these passwords as outlined in the Gmail or Yahoo instructions above. For Yahoo, follow the Yahoo-specific steps already described.

🧪 Step 4: Test Your Settings
Click the Test button (envelope icon) to verify the connection.
If successful, you’ll receive a confirmation message.
⏱ Step 5: Adjust Send Delay (Optional)
At the bottom of the screen:
Use the dropdown to Wait X seconds between each email (recommended: 1–2 seconds for larger batches).
For bulk email campaigns, adding a delay reduces the risk of emails being flagged as spam and can improve deliverability rates.
