Manifest Import – AFX Source Code Overview

When using the manifest option in AuctionFlex Legacy, the system automatically creates a house seller account using the source code AFX. This account is generated the first time the manifest section of the software is accessed and a manifest is selected.

The account is created with the following defaults:

  • Code: AFX

  • Company Name: AFX Company

  • Code is locked (cannot be modified directly on the profile unless unchecked)

Note: This profile does not have a commission structure set by default. One can be added through the Customer Center if needed. All manifests will import to this AFX profile unless otherwise specified.

Changing the Source Code on Imported Lots

There are a few ways to assign a different source code to lots associated with a manifest import.

Option 1 – Edit directly from the Lot List screen

On the lot list, you can clear the AFX code on individual lots and type in the source code you want to use.

Option 2 – Leave the field blank and use Step 3 Miscellaneous

You can clear the AFX code and leave the field blank. Then, on Step 3 (Miscellaneous), enter the source code you want to assign. Any lot with the AFX code removed will default to whatever code is entered here.

Reassigning Source Codes After Import

If the lots have already been imported under the AFX code, you can reassign them from the Auction Lots and Preview Images screen. Highlight the lots you want to change.

With the lots selected, click the Source button. When prompted, confirm that you want to change the selected lots, enter the new source code, and click OK.
